Building a bamboo bike usually takes 100 hours of hard work, but in the „Bamboo Bike Basics“ workshop we will cover the entire bike building process in just half a day! CAD frame design, working with Bamboo, and installing the final components are all briefly demonstrated to show everything it takes to build one of these beautiful, plant-based bicycles. Participants can also get their hands dirty trying various steps of the process. To conclude the workshop we can meet past Ozon customers and test-ride some bamboo bikes.
The workshop takes 5 hours and requires no special preparation or knowledge. For a quick break we will head around the corner to a local restaurant to grab something small to eat, which is included in the Ticket price. After the workshop we break open a crate of beer and chat with past Ozon customers who stop by to show you their own creations. It will be a great time!
The event takes place at the Ozon workshop in the BLO Ateliers, an amazing community of artists in Berlin Lichtenberg. It is a secret, private garden in an obandoned train yard with over 100 Artists and Craftsmen working in studios buildings spread around the spacious property. The houses are over 100 years old and nature has completely overtaken the train tracks. It is private property so if someone tries to shoo you away, tell them you are looking for Ozon.
